John Cusack (second from right) as Rob Gordon, the owner of a semi-failing record store in Chicago. He's a self-professed music junkie who spends his days at Championship Vinyl with his two employees Barry (Jack Black, left) and Dick (Todd Louiso, second from left). Although they have an encylopedic knowledge of pop music, that's no help to Rob, whose needle skips the love groove. Lisa Bonet stars as Marie De Salle
